Dear Sir,
This has
reference to
my letter
dated 19th
January 2005,
announcing the
postponement
of the Inter
City Club
Sports
Carnival,
Kolkata 2005
due to
circumstances
after Tsunami.
I am however
delighted to
note that all
Clubs from
this region of
the world,
came forward
and did their
best to help
the Tsunami
victims.
Although due
to this
unfortunate
circumstances
we had to
postpone the
Carnival to November
11th, 12th and
13th, 2005;
yet I am sure
that
encouragements
from fellow
clubs will not
be altered.
To quote from
one of many
letters
received "whilst
sharing
disappointment
at the
postponement
of Carnival,
we are
convinced that
under the
tragic
circumstances,
this was
absolutely
correct
decision to
take and we
commend you
for it. We
hope sincerely
to be
considered for
participation
in November
and wish you
well in the
preparation in
this
event."
This
shows the
spirit of this
Carnival is
indomitable
and clubs
around this
region are
looking
forward to
November 2005.
This is
reiterate that
your
confirmation
to participate
in the
February
Carnival (now
postponed to
November)
still holds
good and no
further confirmation
will be
required.
We will
however
request you
for a fresh
list of
participating
team members
in due course.
Our original
offer to host
the
participating
team members
(playing
members only)
from 12.00
noon of the
day before the
Carnival
starts i.e.
10th November
remain
unchanged.

the gist of my
communication
to your
members.
